Mason started getting migraines when he was 4 yrs old. He would get 3 to 4 a month. And would throw up once or twice during the headache. He snored at night time so the doc thought maybe he wasn't getting good sleep at night. She thought we should see a ENT. They did a scan of Mason's head and found that his adenoids/ tonsils were enlarged. Which than would cause a bad nights sleep which could give him migraines during the day. So we had them removed which helped so much.
Mason still would have a few but maybe only 1 every 2 months. Which is a huge improvement! He seems to get them more if it is really hot out or if he over does it. Saying all that doesn't make it easy to watch him go through a migraine. I received a call today from school saying he was in the nurses room w/ a headache. It was his second time in there and he wanted to come home. As soon as I got there you could tell it was a bad one. He was pale and look like he was super tried. He said his eyes hurt and all he wanted to do was sleep. When Mason gets like that I wish there was a magic wand to fix it. I hope he grows out of this stage and soon!
